turbo shut down

hello can anyone offer advice as to why my turbo appears to shut down at 3000rpm , it will not work in nay of the rev range until i restart the engine then its ok to 3000 rpm again, TDI 115 alhambra diesel

Its going into limp mode - could be a dodgy MAF Sensor?

you need the codes reading first sounds like too much psi from the turbo

yep agreed, get someone with VAG COM on a laptop to check it for Fault Codes being logged, should give us/you some information as to where to start looking.
