Turbo timer

I try to install turbo timer on my Cupra, :)

but I find out that the alarm wan not activating when I lock the car and the engine was steal running. :(

Any one that have something to suggest me. ?? :confused:

As you by law are not allowed to leave a running vehicle unattended as it is a potential hazard.

turbo timers are more hassle than they are worth. just drive the last mile of any journey slowly and let it cool down naturaly. Also allows your brakes to cool too that way.

Also the 1.8T's have the cooling pump which continue after switch off which help too, do not rely on these, but they do help.

Also one last thing, turbo timers and remote starts invalidate your insurance as they give the car he ability to run without the key.

Yeah, you're right, its only the LCR that has the electric secondary pump. My LC doesn't.

In answer to the Q' above. A Turbo Timer lets the engine idle for a set time after you have locked and left to let the Turbo etc cool down. Its pretty common on Big Turbo Jap Cars but I agree with Nathanio, neither 1.8Ts really need them.
