Twitchy Under Breaking

My friday car saga continues

Noticed quite a bit recently under firm breaking the car is pulling to the right.#

Also the car is pulling alot more than normal to the left (always has done to a minor extent)

I've had the car realigned recently (as in 2 weeks ago) and it all came back fine.

Could the breaking issue be when i potholed it about a month ago I knocked the breaks out of balance as it was the same side to which it was pulling now??

Or could it be that i have the rear left pad rubbing on the disc (until the morning anyway) the rear discs and pads get replaced but then surely that would go to the left??

Any idea's?? I love the car and I would love nothing more than to finally have 3 months trouble free motoring so i can enjoy the map

I don't think you can knock the brakes out on a pothole, although you can knock the wheel out of alignment, which would then mean the wheels want to go their own way when you brake?

If your left pad is rubbing on the disc, it means the caliper itself is not working. Which might suggest that when you apply the brakes, there's more force going to the right caliper and giving you the pull that you're feeling. Then again, you say it's the rear, and rears have very little say in braking effort.

If you're driving normally and let go of the wheel, which way does the car want to go? If you then apply the brakes gently, what happens?

i was getting a similar problem, but i just changed my brakes! however i am getting a big pull to the left when accelerating now!

i was thinkin the pothole might have something to do with it as it damaged the alloy and i hit it at 50-60mph

How are your console bushes?

probably screwed by now, had Ali check em at the 30k service and they where fine, but they where the genuine FR, so might need them checked an all, i'm guessing here that the bushes would have other side effects, like under heavy acceleration wheel squirms (similar to lack of grip) more road noise etc

The rear discs and pads are ronnied and they are going to be swapped in the hour, front pads are about 60% worn on the front and on last inspection for condition the discs where fine, the pads will get through to me 40k service (in 3.5k time) when i was probably going to change the whole setup, pads and discs
