I need a new tyre on the front of my cupra. I have pirelli's at the moment, just wondered on what tyres you people would go for?

Goodyear Eagle Asymetric 2s, Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Michelin Super Sport or the Continental Contact Sport 5s generally score highest in tests.

Currently on Pirelli P Zeros and I will be replacing them with the Goodyears next month on the front, rear Pirellis still have nearly full tread. I find their grip to be pretty bad on damp roads.

Goodyear assy 2. Had mine a couple of months and def sticking with them in the future. Pure grip

I picked up some pirelli pzero rosso 225/40/18s the other day x2 for £80, advertised as 5mm+, measured them myself and they are 4.5-7mm varying from inside to out so im assuming the last guy had camber, does 80 seem fair for part worn pzeros with this tread?

Cheers everyone. I have pirelli rosso tyres at the moment, the ratings arent great. I need good tyres as it spins like a twat in third gear when hitting turbo.

Smee. i got the car back yesterday, it has a fuel pressure fault, like i told rhem. it didn't happen while they had it, so they don't know what part needs changing. I was told if it does it again while driving, to take it straight there and they will put the computor on it while i am there.

I changed from Pirellis to toyo t1r tyres, cannot fault them maximum grip in wet and dry. And they are not that expensive so you can really abuse them.

can you give us some more info on the t1r's? some said they are great in wet, others that they are really bad... a little confused :)

Hi All

I just replaced all four of mine for the Falken FK453 Azenis, car sticks to the road like a bugger now. I paid £400 all in

would recommend them

I had these on the Beemer, I'd rate them well too.

I have Dunlop on my Octavia VRS company car, they are shite. Spin up in the wet far too easy. Dry they are ok though. And fronts are shagged after 4k miles.

Toyo t1r s are 80 pound a tyre from camskill. Best tyre I have bought for all weather.
Highly recommend
