Need to replace fornt tyre (nail). Have got a 1.6 Stylance, would the diffteence in tread depth make any difference to ESP. Other tyre will be original, done 20,000 miles but still a few millemeters left. Will replace with another Bridgestone as been good so far.

Replace the pair, or if you've got a full size spare swap that tyre with your low one. If you go with your original plan I can't see your car staying straight under heavy braking.

Should be OK, if you put the "uneven"? pair at the back after adjusting tyre pressures ESP should not come on. But what ever you do make sure that the whole axle has the same tyre set DO NOT mix tyre types/manufactures.
