Tyre load rating

Hi folks

I have a Seat Altea XL 2.0 TDI 170 PD 2008. Wanting to know what the load ratin is. I have been on several car tyre website and they point to a 91? 225 45 17 91w, Is this correct? On the car at the moment is a 94XL tyre. Wondering if I should go with a 91 instead?

What tyres are you guys running and are they any good for wear?

The load rating is usually tied to the stiffness of the tyre carcass, but the tyre pressures for a tyre of the same size but different load index can be very different. Best to stick with the load rating recommended by the manufacturer.
