Tyre Pressure Sensors ? How does it work?

I had a siezure in the front right brake caliper which led to excessive heat which increased the tyre pressure to over 40psi and the tyre pressure warning light came on. Brilliant eh.

I'd like to ad a quick Thanx for the info as I've been putting off changing the wheels on my FR thinking the sensor was inside the wheel .
I thought it was going to be part of the valve assembly and put the light on thus making my car fail the MOT now the rules have changed .
Thanx again , I'm off now t do some rim shopping

Definitely standard on the FR, not sure about other models though.

My leon has it and mine is the lowest spec FL, so i guess all leons have it!
