Tyre pressures with spare in boot ?

whats not to understand, whatever it says you are supposed to run ALL wheels at that pressure, unless you know better, I don't agree with 40psi But that's my Ecomotive recommendation.
That was for standard Steel wheels - BUT I now have 16" alloys fitted, & run with a bit less pressure now

No but even so as the block is aluminium it is much less nose heavy than the 1.6 and 2.0 diesels and the 1.4 twincharger which have cast iron blocks.
I'm amazed that the 1.2 TSI with 17 inch wheels is supposed to be 36/29. My 1.2 TSi SE is on 185/60-15 and runs at 30/28. 36/29 sounds like what you'd expect with one of the nose heavy diesels. I suspect that farrar has missread or misstyped!

The 1psi change at the rear might account for the battery in the boot ( it's a big battery )
But I agree - the front seems high considering the much lower engine weight compared to the TDi or 1.4TSi DSG models.
Which end column ?
Mine has
Normal load - Front Bar/Psi - Rear Bar/Psi
Fully Loaded - Front Bar/Psi - Rear Bar/Psi

Just looked at my fuel cover.
The last column is probably for the estate car - they call it ST - at full load.
First two columns are as Deano says for part load and full load.
Your car may be pre-ST, Deano.
