Unacceptable Tyre Wear?

I see some of you guys reporting changing tyres after 7k. May I ask how you are driving, I mean surely if your driving sensibly (although no fun) you should get more than that

I've done 12k in my FL FR TSI and they seem like they've still got 5-6mm of tread left on them, but the difference is mine came with Bridgestone RE050's instead of the Dunlops. I have to say I'm not too impressed with them either, but I'm in no hurry to replace them atm.

I've had these on the front of my cupra for 3 months now,proving to be a decent tyre, pretty good in the wet and not too bad since the map too! Will put them on the rear when p-zero's need replacing. Wear rate seems to be ok, last fronts wore down the middle tho and left a good bit of tread on the edges when they were replaced.

I'm getting them for £99.00 fitted which I thought was a pretty decent price for them so should be a decent tyre base don your experience and what I have seen in the German press

S1 Evo are not available for 6-8 weeks so have gone with the V12 EVO instead which again has a good reputation

I wouldn't expect to get much more than 10k out of a set of fronts. But if they are worn unevenly then get the alignment checked and make sure your pressures are correct.

Alignment is classed as an adjustment apparently and isn't covered by warranty. The four wheel alignment at a dealers will set you back about 90 quid too!

Got my new tyres last friday and also had the wheel alignment checked and it was a little bit out

Anyway car feels much better and less squirmy that it had been for the last few weeks
