That only works when flat shifting, the box does nothing when clutch is not pressed therefore nothing on overrun.

so i finally got my laptop yesterday so was straight on to vag com and unisettings, had a really quick play about ,increased fuel on decreasing load to 125% and also added some timing advance as i was getting 0 timing pull under WOT. Ive had quite a few bangs out the back now, cant get them on demand but mainly get them at full throttle when changing gear, also had a few when slowing down, can also get them when bouncing it off the redline on idle LOL sounds like a gun going off.

:D love it, it scares the hell out of people. I decreased it abit now though and have turned my wot box back on and it sounds crazy. I put the setting down to 110% as i found myself in the petrol station every other day.

I had the wot box turned off and it popped now I've turned the wot box on it explodes.

Fuel consumption increased quite abit, it depends how bad you want the pops.

When pops and backfires are a natural byproduct of how a car is tuned, then that's absolutely fine.

When you're going out of your way to make your modern and refined engine and management pop and bang because it's 'cool', then that's not OK. it's a bit sad....

+1 :)

Some of the things I've seen posted on here since I joined, you'd swear there's load of 18 year old chavs driving Leon Cupra R's

Nothing wrong with a little bit of fueling on over run to help cool things down.

only aslong as its natural byproduct of how a car is tuned though or that is not ok.

Don't agree, depends if you have a poor map on your car.
Also depends how the car has been mapped, earlier torque delivery but drops off sooner or later delivery but holds.

If it's a map that holds then your going to have a lot more heat.

Ahh you didn't get it! It was aimed at prawn lol

But back on topic its been a good few days and I've run loads logs and messed about with unisettings and I'm very happy with it.
I will say though if your wanting pops and bangs all the time, then your better of going down the wot box route.

With the BT I had a gunshot like bang from it on gear change last night lol

Ive had the occasional one cant believe how loud they can get, our lass heard it in house when i was at the other end of the industrial estate down the road. wish i could have seen the size of the flame out the back.
And dont tempt me any more to get a big turbo :p
