Just checked seems OK now BUT got a notification that there an update and that it's updating. However, system says its up to date. Go figure ?

I left my car with ignition on for 30 minutes and update never installs. So it's probably the same update every day never finishing installing.

Drove for nearly 7 hours and part way through this two updates failed. Wasn't able to restart them whilst driving 'due to safety reasons'. Will give it a go another day ?

Just for comparison my update completed last night after taking a while, when I was driving it as suspended but once I parked up it completed. Have not been out today so will see what has improved tomorrow.

System upgrades may be free but NAV and other services updates will be chargeable after one year.

I cant see why anyone would pay for NAV updates, just the same old legacy auto makers trying to milk customers.

Honestly this was one thing that annoyed me the most with my previous gen Leon. You can't update the nav except by the dealer (and you need to pay for it). It's a software upgrade, new cars get new navigation so the cost is 0 for Seat, I failed to understand why they charge for it.

I could bet I saw that they made the updates free, but I can't find it now. Does anyone know for sure? Are the navigation updates free for the Formentor?

With a car that has so many safety systems, it's dangerous to have outdated maps. I'm sure it uses them to partly predict speed limits and other potential issues.

The update that was trying to install in my car for couple of days, finally installed. Not sure what was delaying it before. Software version is still the same.

Effectively there are a bunch of dealer installed updates for all Formentors with a VIN number ending between 00226 and 07184.

I guess you need to contact us the dealer yourself for these..... And probably go through the usual "can't see that there's any updates for your car" 20 times before you get it done? ?

Hopefully I won't be tempting fate here but so far I've experienced zero of the problems people on here have been experiencing, even with the "older" infotainment version.

My car is an ex demo that I collected about 10 days ago, so I'm not sure if the dealer has done other updates to it or if I'm lucky...
