I just wondered where SEAT/CUPRA web pages currently are in terms of navigation updates.
It's sad to see that those pages last updated on 2023.
I'm on version 25.2 in my car, CUPRA says current version is 23.6.
Not just Ateca, it's the same for all models, and same for SEAT models too.

Is it really this hard to keep this up to date, I mean in this time and age of "connected" cars ?
I dare say quit offering built-in navigation if you can't keep up.

It's really pathetic.

I think Seat / Cupra have lost interest in the offline maps. At one stage their team was on top of it and had rest of the world maps that VW hadn't now.

The map updates load are all the same across brands for the the particular unit you have mib2 standard, mib2 high (Seat Plus) and mib3. Ditto mib1. If you can drop your hands on them then they will upload accepting navigation FeCs. Mib3 are life time unlimited which means you have the license to upload you can update as you please whilst updates are available, irrespective of VAG brands. They are interchangeable, one file that does all.

Mib2 High on Seat was always limited by Mapcare in the UK it was never sold as a license. Europe it was 3 years for 110 €s or something, 600 thereafter or something. Free on Skoda and VW. Audi are like Seat charge. Retrofitters, Github and AIO firmware updates can be used to turn your Seat mib2 high into lifetime map updates the same as Skoda and VW.

Mib2 standard everybody uses the "workaround". Mib1, one as well.

Pointers in here including the mib3 link. I believe Seat / Cupra have just taken the resources out of supporting offline map updates. For mib3 they reckon you should use connect services and if you cant it's just tough. Fortunate we can use the map update which are brand wide.

It is remiss of them to stop publishing the offline maps. EV for predictive breaking you do need to ideally uptodate the inbuilt maps, so old maps are not any help for that with road developments. Seat always had a love / hate relationship with the inbuilt mapping systems.

The mib3 map links in the general Leon 4 thread, not Cupra thread and the mib2 ones in the Leon 3 thread. Indexed from that above.

This makes it more pathetic. Just put on a common web page, such as "VAG MIB3 navigation updates" or something along the lines and let people use it for all brands. You don't need to keep a separate team for each brand either.

Well the mib2 high one they have removed the Seat / Cupra / VW matching navigation FeC you need to use the Skoda / Audi one. So VW have done the dirty. Only Skoda seems to be on top of offline maps now. Seat / Cupra and VW don't want to know about it and taken steps to make it difficult to update their systems. Rail roaded into a new car and connected services.
