Hi all!
I upgraded my dog bone bush last weekend for the powerflex ones and now it seems I have acquired quite a lot more vibration through the steering wheel when idling?
Just looking for suggestions on ways to reduce this and possible faults
I.e have I tightened the bolt too tight or is there some more bushes I should considering upgrading,

thanks

sounds right, remember by replacing the standard mount with powerflex ones there will be a noticeable increase in vibration due to them being harder

Did u fit a yellow bush? If so, try a red one. It's meant for the diesel so it's softer than the yellow one. I've got one on my LCR and it's great, no vibration.

As said the vibration will go away as the bush settles in but if you can't handle it the. Swap it for the red "diesel" bush
Or try removing the mount assembly and recheck the torque setting of the centre bolt.

Adjust your idle with vagcom, also it needs some time to "bed in".

+1, the speed your engine is idling at may set up a harmonic which causes the vibration, even a small change might stop it, worth a go if you have access to VAGCOM. Bushes of all kinds take a while to bed in and soften up, it should get better with time. A poly one will cause more vibration though, I havent got one myself but virtually everyone says this.
