upgrade or not?

currently got an ibiza and have got a jl 12inch w3v2 d2 sub with a jl e1200 monoblock amp. now ive been offered a 4 month old mtx t612-44 sub for around £60. it needs a box though. would there be a big difference between that and my jl sub and would i be able to use it off my current amp or not?

That amp only just cuts it for the JL sub to be honest, and the mtx will want even more. So like mt said I wouldn't bother unless your planning on upgrading the amp to something a little more powerful...although I am a big fan of mtx

what kind of amp should i be looking for that can make the jl sub sound better and also allow me to upgrade a but?

also is there any guides on how to setup amps as not too sure if ive set mine up properly
