USB socket and full link retrofit

evening all,

Bought a 14 plate FR last week. The only USB socket is in the glovebox, but I have seen pictures of one that sits in the cubby hole with and aux socket. I presume these are different models/years. Can they be retrofitted?

Also, what is full link? And is it worth paying for?

You can't get full link on your vehicle, it's too early, without changing the unit in the glovebox, if you have one there, it should have a CD player and two slots for SD cards.

Ahh yes. Just did more research on MIB1 and 2.

Yes it has the ports on the glovebox and it has the leads. But I wanted something central and up front. I know I could use the 12v socket but then I have a cable running to the cubby hole. Messes with my ocd.

You can use a 12V USB adapter from ebay while looking for a better solution. There are loads of them, like this one from UK.
