Hi just wondering if anybody has used v-power (or any other premium fuel) in their 1.2 tsi ibiza yet, and if so was there any improvement in mpg or performance?

i use millers petrol ecomax, it brings normal unleaded petrol up to the same as bp ultimate or shell v power, increases the octane by 2 points and is £12, sufficiant to treat 500 litres

will give it a blast next time i'm at the pumps. And i'll post the results of course. :)

Just filled up with v-power, got 45.4mpg off the regular fuelsave unleaded. hope that goes up n gives it more poke.

V-power deffinately gives you way more responsive drive on the throttle. and gives you another 1.5 mpg.

Try Tesco momentum 99 ron better than V Power! + cheaper than V Power

I read a few articles saying that fuel like v power ect... will only increase power on a performance car. Also there have been tests on like 4 everyday standard family cars like mini cooper 1.6 (not the S) and v power acually decreased the power output on the dyno. So i wouldn't use v power o get more power but mpg seem better. I'm not saying don't do it like earlier posts have said its worth giving it a go.

nothing to do with performance all to do with whether the engine has the right sensors and can advance the timing

Hi, I have a cupra and do mainly town driving. I have been averaging about 30 mpg on shell standard fuel, Last time I ran the tank to empty and re-fuelled with v power, have driven 200 miles and refilled. It averaged out at 34mpg, I cant say definately that it felt like there was more power, but it is meant to be better for your engine. It also works out that even though you pay more per litre, that you can still gain 1 or 2 mpg. The bottom line is it depends how you drive it I guess. The only true way to work it out is to fill ya tank, do at least 200 miles, refill and see how many litres it takes, times by 4.55 to convert to gallons and divide your milage by the answer. e.g 27 litres to fill up after 200 miles, 27 divided by 4.55, is 5.93 gallons, so 200 miles divided by 5.93 is 33.7 mpg. simples

Well ive put vpower in my car for the time as I was near a shell when needing petrol. have to say there is no noticeable power difference compared to 99 Tesco. but it has gone over 200 miles before hitting the half way mark.

So hard to judge whether I just drove it softer this week?
