hi everyone got a problem with my seat ibiza 1.2 2003 reg,the light on dashboard with engine fault has come on? have tried to diconnect the battery still on anyone have any ideas how to reset?

Erm, shouldn't you perhaps take it to a garage and get the fault diagnosed rather than trying to make the light go away?

I Have Its Just Been Serviced,the Garage Has No Idea I Am Just Trying To Avoid Going To Seat With High Labour Costs Etc

i'd go to the garage and get them to sort it, tell them it's just been serviced etc and check it out again....

the garage should have the equipment to link up diagnostics jit to see what is wrong with the car and the reason for the cars engine management light coming on could be something small but also could be something big so best get it done asap!

How long have you had the battery disconnected for?

hi about ten minutes

Takes longer than that to clear the codes... tripple it.


And If it comes back on then take it to the dealers

sometimes going to a proper car dealer service bay is better in the long run eh?

but as said, the garage that caused the problem should sort it for you if they know what they are doing
