Hi

im thinking about changing my brake fluid for some decent stuff. Could any body advise me on this vacuum brake bleeder ebay item: 130446762476, is this any good? i see some people use the gunson ezi bleed kit ive had bad experience with this kit in the past so i want to stay clear of this. also is the correct bleeding procedure on a lcr: driver rear, passenger rear, front passenger - outer then inner, front driver - outer then inner. i know theres one on the gearbox and two on the master cylinder? which order do you do these two after the brake calipers? i had my brake fluid changed last march and they dont seem to be that sharp, dont know if im getting used to them, my bosses audi tt's brake are better and there not brembo or anything. when the brake fluid was changed i didnt see matie touch the master cylinder or gearbox would this affect them?

Cheers

Looks good to me, why dont you like the gunson?

i had a fiesta few years ago and couldnt get the thing to seal properly and didnt get on with it, this looks alot better. is the bleeding procedure right?

Yeah i think so, i know you start with the furthest away caliper, when i changed my fluid i had issues with rear bleed nipples shearing off LOL there is a thread with the sequence on here some where have a search, i know its there.

ok ive had a look the other day, seems people have done it a few ways just wanted some one to clarify the correct way. could you just get away with doin the calipers on there own? had excatly the same problem with the bleed nipple shearing off on my fiesta pita it was, out it out, lucky my local ford garage was open at the time.

just doin a bit more reading before i bleed my brakes and i have just read something saying the brake system should be pressure bleed rather the vaccum bleed, does it matter?

I'm looking to do a DIY brake fluid sometime soon and have been reading up on previous posts. Would like to know how the vacuum bleeder works as I've heard that although Eezibleed is quite popular there's a lot of people that dont like them cos they always leak. I thought the vacuum bleeders also require an air supply from a compressor?

Also would be good to know the definate answer to the bleeding sequence as some people here reckon you should do the closest to the master cyclinder first and then the rears,

the vaccum bleeder needs to be connect to a compressor, basically all you do is put the rubber end on the nipple and undo the nipple 1/4 turn and press the trigger and it pulls the fluid through easy as that, famous last words lol!! i have never got on with a eezibleed kit and agree with you totally. i cant see what difference it makes pressure bleed or vaccum bleed

i have always been told or read that you start from the furthest away from the master cyclinder.

I tried bleeding my brakes on my FR earlier with an Eezibleed, and it was terrible. The seal on the bottle wouldn't seal well, and now I have spongy brakes. Will attack it in the morning the old fashion way and with Vag Com for the ABS pump
