Hi Guys,

Short question, Does a Seat Leon 1.6 Mk1 02 Reg have a MAF (Mass air flow) sensor.?

Long question, I have a Seat Leon 1.6, 02 reg. It has the amber engine light on, I have a cheap VAG COM which has error 16555, I have googled it and reads

"Fuel Bank 1 , System too lean"
It either seems to be the Lambda or MAF sensor,

I've read various threds with people having 20VT's, MAF problems but i've phoned a few parts company's and said there isn't one listed for my car???

I had the Lambda changed about two years back, so guessing it's not that, but will check over the weekend.

If someone could post a photo of where either sensor is located, that would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

That fault code means your engine control unit is adding fuel to compensate for the excessive air in the burn!

The could be due to an air leak in the inlet tract or breather system, low fuel pressure, or an air leak in the exhaust system, as well as many other components!

If you are not sure, dont throw parts at it, get someone switched on to look at it!

Hope this helps!
