VAG-COM on windows 7

Hello to all,

I have recently bought a VAG-COM software and the cable, software version that came with it was 409.1 and the cable say KKL VAG-COM for 409.1. The cable installs when its pluged in but when i install the software it doesnt open. Iv contacted the person who i bought it from and they said it works only with windows xp. Iv changed around the compatability of the software and still no go. Does anyone here have a place where i can get a working program for windows 7?

Is it a cable that uses the FTDI chipset? (most do to be fair). If so it will work fine on Windows 7. You just need to download and install the latest versions of the Windows 7 drivers from the FTDI website.

To be honest im not sure, will try going on the website and downloading them drivers

Can I ask where u bought the cable etc and was it expensive?

Vag-com works perfectly fine on Windows 7. However, I do have an official Ross-tech cable.
