My little old 280 is fun to drive does 38 + on long run and worst mpg on the track was 11mpg.
Audi is an upmarket badge, very nice car all round but it is not cheap to run and the Evo revo also pointed out the brakes dont last long either.

"With the V8’s clever cylinder on demand technology replenishing the RS6 Avant’s 75-litre fuel tank isn’t the repetitive event you might imagine. On a run it will return an mpg figure in the high twenties, giving you a 300+ mile range. However, start enjoying some of the 552bhp and that figure will drop to high teens. Go further with the throttle and you’ll just scrape double figures. Head on track and with determination you could see a comedy figure of around 2mpg."

But we all like different things in our cars luckly and there are currently manufacturers out there to meet your wishes.

Even if I had the money to buy an RS6, E65, I can't see myself sticking it on the track. The MINI was small nimble, punched way above its weight, so was great on track. But a big estate? Nah maybe in the future I'll have my little hot hatch (3 door 280/290/300 maybe) for track days again. But then I still want my AMG Merc in 4 years...

I’ve got a mate who has bought an RS6 outright. He’s done less than 3000 miles in two years which to me is pointless money.

The car looks and sounds great but I don’t see the point of having a car like that and not using it!

Agreed. I would understand with something like an Elise or an Atom but an RS6 will cost a fortune in depreciation whether you use it or not.

In the week before I ordered the Cupra Ateca, went to Germany with a friend to bring back the replacement car for his Porsche 911 GTS. He got a Cayenne S to use for a day.
Incredibly nice, and as it happens exactly the same 0-100km figure as the Cupra. At double the price...
Is it worth it? It could be - much nicer interior, larger car, higher top speed, Porsche bragging rights etc. But I'll be very happy with the Cupra ;)

Driving a Fiat Panda Cross as second car for general small distance things here in town, and for offroad use. That car, to me, was absolute value for money. Especially taking into account the massive discount I get through work.

Just had a mate purchase a BMW M6 competition edition. I'd say it's worth every penny. absolutely stunning car. I mean i love my cupra but would never compare it to one of them. It's on another level of nice !!

At least you have a 10x chance that your car will be on the drive in the morning.
The RS6 is a ram raiders wet dream.

another factor for me is just how many audis/audi RSs i see on the road. i dont want to sound like a hipster but if everyone has one its no longer that appealing to me

But in a way that’s what’s starting to happen with the Cupra. I can easily see 10 in a day up here and walking from my car where I park it at work to my building I usually pass 2 Mk1 Cupra’s, a Mk2 Cupra R, at least 2 Mk3 280/290 Cupra’s and a 290 Black ST. And then there’s my Mk3 300 as well.

And that’s at the weekend!!! During the week there’s even more [emoji592

My car still appeals to me though, in colour, style, stealth and power.

I’m lucky if I see one a month, excluding the R of @paddy6789

may i ask where abouts you're from? in greater manchester i see ibiza and leon FRs the most but theyre still few and far between when you consider the other cars im seeing. cupras are rare and happy sight. if im honest i probably see more mk3 ibizas and 68 plate atecas over any other SEAT

i did see a leon cupra ST in silver a couple of weeks ago and wondered if the owner was on this site

I’m in Workington, West Cumbria. My local dealer B&H Motors have at leat 3 used Cupra’s in and 3 new 290’s and 1 ST in stock. They have sold dozens of Cupra’s and they are very common round here.

Is a 90k Audi value for money? Probably not, I dont think anything that isn't a supercar is once you get near 100k

Would I have one in a heartbeat if I could afford it? Absolutely

I think anyone that gets to live with one on the daily who it doesnt make broke will be able to tell you that it is indeed worth 60k over a Cupra
