Vent thingy in roof lining?

Hi Guys,
I have had my Leon for a month or so now and the other night my daughter asked me what the vent in the roof lining was (next to the front interior lights). I had to tell her I didn't have a clue never really noticed it before, but now I'm intrigued as to what it is and what it does.

When I took a closer look (un-clipped it) I saw it had a couple of wires going to a black plastic unit.
But still non the wiser.

Can anybody enlighten me as to what this is?

It's where the ultrasonic sensors for the alarm live.

I always thought it was the microphone for the Bluetooth.

I believe the mic is in the interior light panel. Near the middle where all the little holes are.

thanks guys The alarm sensor sounds right as I have a buryx as my blutooth. not factory one.
