Vibration or rattling from the gearbox

Hello Everyone,

I've a 1.6 petrol DSG Ibiza, and i've noticed a vibration seems to be coming from the gearbox whenever i take off slowly , also it's very noticeable when going uphill from the garage.

my friend told me it's normal and it's present in the Audi A3 TSI.

Can anyone advise if this is normal or should i go the service center ??

found the below forum advising that they all get vibration from rollstart bec of the clutsh is half engaged " this is what i understood "

today i went to the service center, and found out that it's normal to get vibration on roll start or on hill, but mine was a little more, and Finally it was the Pulley connected to the alternator

I have the same car. Have you noticed how the DSG keeps the revs very low when drivbing in 'D' to the point where the engine sounds like it is labouring, before the gearbox changes down?

Yuppp, it is very annoying when u r driving in 'D' in crowded streets , but it's alot better in 'S'

yeh when drivin slow i always put the car in 'S', D for normal driving and obviously manual when i fancy a dance
