First of all i wanna apologise for the high volume of threads i seem to be starting recently!

Ok so i think i'm going to look at getting the roof, mirrors and front lower lip wrapped.

I've seen a few photos of this from different threads, but I need your opinions on whether to get carbon or vinyl? gloss or matte?

Would be on the car in my avatar
<------------------

I've been quoted £80~ for the roof. Seem a fair price?

ps - once it's been done, can it be removed? or is it there permanently?

What other companies is there around the Manchester area that do it? I'd like to shop around a bit first, I don't mind paying a little extra to have the job done properly by a respectable company.

I contacted a company called Wrap My Ride in Manchester and they quoted me £299 for-

Roof Wrap
Wing Mirrors Wrap
Lower Lip Wrap

That seems a bit extreme does it not? Or does it cost that much extra to do the mirrors and lip?

Just been quoted £325 + VAT from somebody else.

So the wing mirrors and lower lip really cost that much extra? I guess it's a lot more fiddly than doing the roof.

I've been reading about doing some parts myself but mirrors sound like they are a major PITA.

If anyone has tips on doing the seat badge i'd appreciate it! I tried but failed. However i think my blade isn't sharp enough, it doesn't cut through the vinyl too well so it has really jagged edges and looks a mess :(

I'd love to go with matt black on the roof and matt black alloys but damn i'm not sure if i'm brave enough!

If anyone wants their mirrors carbon wrapping and in Peterborough area, if you have the materials I.e wrap and mirrors, I'll gladly wrap for free and can post a full walk through on how to do on here with step by step pics. Wrapping takes 10 15 mins a side I've wrapped loads of stuff before, on mine I have mirror caps and front chrome surround done in carbon. (did pillars etc too but didn't like) It just takes patience, heat and a bit more patience! Alt if you wanna post the materials, as long as you pay for return post, again I'll wrap a pair for nowt and post pics. It was one of the things I was never sure how to do modding when I was a kid but as soon as you see how to do it properly, it's a doddle! Sorry not meaning to hijack thread :)

Ive literally just finished doing mine, I wasnt going to today, but i had enough left over for both so thought i id give it a bash! As long as you have a heat gone its real easy, warm it up, stretch it...simple.

Tried to do my mirrors with carbon wrap and failed twice, but it does seem easier with 2 people and a proper heat gun. May try again at some point

Would have been miles easier with two people

Use a scalpel to cut. They just glide through.

Scalpel is a must

I've just uploaded the pictures to my build thread if your interested. Total cost for the lot is - £5.00 exactly.
