Been looking through some reviews on different forums but not seen much on this. What's your opinion on them as I have heard mixed reviews. My mate had them fitted on his RX8 and said that the grip both wet and dry was excellent but after 4-5000miles they were down to 4.5mm. If someone could find me the right ones also as I have had a look but I have never bought tyres online before and don't want to get the wrong ones
Cheers

Ps. Tyre size.
225/45/17

My tyres are vredisteins and i have 225/45/18's. they have lasted me a good while and i think there one of the best mid-price range tyers you can get. For the price, they are grippy and last a good while. Recommended

Vreds get mixed reviews around here.

I'd opt for Goodyear Asymmetric 2's over Vredestein all day long.
+1 to this ^^^^^^! I put some Vred's on mine after lots of recommendations online and was gutted with them. Personally I thought they were horrible tyres but they did last bloody ages. Finally got the Assy 2's back on mine again and they're ace as usual!:D

Had a look at them also but aren't they meant to be bad for road noise? How much are they? Don't want to go over 100 as I'm wanting 4 and that's about all I can afford. I have seen vreds for just under 100 but as I said I don't want to buy them online without being sure that they are the right ones

I think there must be some confusion, it depends what vredestein tyre it is. The vredestein ultrac sessanta are the in the top 3 tyres money can buy. Thats what my old mans 5.0 supercharged XFR is wearing atm, and that thing handles better than my leon! Any other tyre by the same company are ****.

No confusion from me sorry mate, those are the ones I had on my car and I thought they were atrocious!

Did you use the Eagles on track? How was the grip dude? ;)

*PS hate you & your outstanding handling mods! rawr!

Yes dude, used them on track and they were ace. Given that all the cars I was chasing were running R888's I was amazed at the Eagles ability to withstand the heavy footed drivers excitement and keep on gripping!;)

Hahahahahahhaha.......!

Wishing I had bought a Cupra now I think about it. Would have saved more money in the long run after all the upgrades etc. Just had a look at your progress thread bignod and I am very jealous lol

vredestein ultrac sessanta size 235 35 19 on mine and only Conti SC5 performed better. Good grip and ok mileage out of them (before the Vredesteins I had dunlops and Goodyears but the Vredesteins easily outperformed both).

The Conti cs5 arnt all that, the 3s are much better imo but tbh with tyres it depends on how YOU want them to perform and how you want the car to behave I like the 3s because there very progressive and you know when your on the limit, p zeros just let go without warning iv just put 4 Dunlop sp 01's on for £375 and there not as good as the contis or the Pirellis but very precise and brilliant for the monney defo worth a look....

I've got the ultrac sessantas and they're honestly the best tyre I've had on a car. Good in the damp and wet. Done 15k on them and still fine, plus the uneven wear on the rear hasn't appeared. It did after 11k on the factory pirellis. Good rim protection as well. Got them from camskill. Ordered at 1pm, arrived at 11am the next day.
