hey this forum is a great help and my sisters car has a problem too,

every time she opens the locks both windows go down, is there a way to disconnect the central lockin from the doors so that the windows dont go down when she opens the locks?

its a vw golf btw i know it aint a seat but still lol thankz

I had a golf gti and had exactly the same!! as you probably know its just an electronics issue.

Not a mark 3 btw is it??

This would be possible to by-pass the windows - I believe this happens due to the wiring of the car where the windows when you lock the car also close, just the reverse.

I did nothing with it because of cash but a vw dealer would tell you straight away as I know several golfs have had this problem, me included.

If its the MK4 Golf, the locking unit behind the actual door lock sounds like its knackered. I'm having issues with the same unit on my Ibiza at the minute, but mines disabling the remote til the key's put in.
