Hello everyone. I placed an order for a Leon 1.4 tsi phev xcellence estate.

It will be delivered around May.

Before then I would like to ask two questions to which I couldn't find any answers on youtube or the manual.

1 - what is the charging speed of the usb-c ports of the car? How much power they deliver? I am mostly interested to be able to charge my drone batteries fast while on the road.

2. Can you plug in a usb-c stick with music to be played on the infotainment on the back seats usb-c ports?

I would very much appreciate some answers on the above.

One more request if anyone has it: I ordered Alcantara seats, electric adjustments, with memory buttons.

Obviously no photos for this trim anywhere on the internet. Does anyone have this option? Could you kindly post some photos (including the buttons for seat adjustments and memory buttons)?

Thanks a lot.

I could only find mention about the rear ones in the manual

The rear ones are for power/charging only, it is mentioned in the online manual under infotainment > multimedia > usb

So my car ordered end of January is still not planned for production. Nobody from the dealership can give me more information, just that it is not planned for production.

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I've ordered mine (eHybrid ST, dinamica seats, DCC, etc.) in November 2020 and still haven't received it. I've been told by my dealership that the lack of semiconductors is the reason for the slow delivery. Many manufacturers (like Peugeot) has changed some of the components to overcome this issue (for example changed digital cockpit to analogue one) but Seat has not gone that route (which is good in my mind). My car changed from 2021 model to 2022 model and should be getting into manufacturing (hopefully) in the mid July.

Alcantara seats can be spotted from many Youtube-videos. For example this one (ST FR eHybrid with dinamica seats):

Yes, the worldwide shortage of semi conductors is causing production issues for many car manufacturers and longer than normal lead times.

The current situation is helping values of in-demand late date used cars though, where values seem to be increasing! Some owners on other forums have been tempted to sell to take advantage of these increasing values - the problem is, they’re then faced with the issue of delays / long lead times on new car builds, or the risk of having to pay inflated prices if they decide to buy a late date nearly new car 🤔.

Think I was lucky. I ordered my 1.4 eHYbrid xcellence estate in mid December and it was delivered in late March. Think I may have got in just before the major shortages kicked in. Do you still need photos of the seat buttons? I think the rest of the trim may be different in the UK compared to Europe so don't know how helpful any photos will be. I'm sure the seat buttons will be the same - just on the different side.

I already found videos with the seats and the buttons. When I asked it was too new, nothing was available on the internet.

Actually the seats are 100% identical left and right, same shapes, same buttons (adjustments) only mirrored. So no seat difference between Europe and UK versions.

About your order, this is wired. I ordered on week 11 and it was produced on week 19.

A very vague answer came from the dealer saying that there is a supply problem with the panoramic roof which is back ordered.

The car has finally arrived. I am picking it up from the dealer Friday 8th of October.

It took 8-1/2 months from order to delivery.

Ok, thx for the information. Status of my order changed just recently from "Production confirmed" to "In production". It stayed in the "production confirmed" status for many months.

I've been waiting now about 10 months (302 days). Finland is further away from Martorell than Belgium I guess...

I picked up my car yesterday.

Problem number 1: the passenger seat has no electric controls, it is all manual.
Options 3.png

Problem number 2: no wireless charging for the phone.
Standard equipment 2.png

Problem number 3 -> no blind spot warning. I understand that this should have been specifically indicated in one of the option packs. I had no idea that this is an option and that I should specifically add it. Very disappointed about this.

Seriously?

There have been issues in the past where the brochure has not been accurate, but I wonder if shortage of components has meant SEAT have been forced to remove certain items? If so, they should at least have had the courtesy to tell you.
Interesting that it describes your dashboard and console trim as wood/woodgrain. Is that really true?

Yes. wood trim of grey colour on the dash. It looks quite nice.

In fact the entire interior looks and feels high quality, especially as the Alcantara seats also come with leather covered door handles.

Initially, Alkantara (WL3 / Dinamica) was without electrical control. I was pleasantly surprised to get them electrically after all.

Comments on the problems (You may not like it, but I think all went correct from SEAT's point of view):

1. The brochure here in Finland states clearly (regarding Dinamica Seats): ONLY driver's seat has electrical controls. Passenger seat is with normal controls.

2. Wireless charging is an optional extra for FR model. Excellence model has is it as standard.

3. Blind spot monitoring comes with some of the safety packets. In Finland it was included in the L (PDI) and XL (PDL) safety packets (side assist). Also Wrap around LED (PLH) is required.

2. I have the xcellence version.
OK, then you should double-check whether Excellence includes Wireless charging in Belgium and complain accordingly.

Here is the link to the Finnish pricing list (all in Finnish I'm afraid) but you can use Google Translator :D

There are four model variants in Finland: Reference, Style, Excellence and FR. Excellence and FR are mostly the same, but Excellence has that wireless charging and reverse camera. FR has bigger wheels, driving modes and black ceiling.
