in other countries then uk you can get the leon cupra 2,8 24v v6 204bhp with 4 wheel drive. you can import a doner car and just move all you need over to your car.

12 or 24 valve VR6 should fit just fine with some donor mounts.

Nadeem

ditto UFO, a golf V5 (2.3) or the golf V6 4 motion (2.8) will (should) drop in and the mounts will be on the car you get the lump from....

sound, and not to be a sheep, then again id rather be a sheep, unless it was the AWD then id be happy with less power

ok cheers guys... and reason i am asking is becuz my leon cupra r gave me nothin but grief so i re-shelld it to a white leon 1.8 non turbo but i cnt handle the non power that comes wiv it and wants something reliable

If I could be bothered then I'd love to to replace the 1.8T in my R with an R32 engine and supercharge/turbocharge it. If money was no object then I'd do the AWD Haldex conversion with mod to lock in 50/50 power transfer. I'd also like to see what you can do with a V5 engine but I don't know anything about them, do they sound nice?

150 or 170bhp in mk4 golf. Both slower than 1.8 turbo and 150pd golfs with less mpg. They sound pretty cool with an exhaust and filter though.

Could put an passat R36 engine in it ;)

And I do mean R36 not 32 if you dunno what I mean google it my old mans got one :D 300 bhp standard ;)

any one thought of the 2,5 5cyl FSI 170bhp in the golf 6 (us model) or the 2,5 5cyl TFSI 340bhp in the audi TTRS? now that is what i would look at if money were no issue.

If you wanna go stupid then my old mans best mate has a mini with two turbocharged R1 engines in the back :D 4wd MBC both turbos are hybrid stage 4 and it puts out near 700 bhp well it did but is now limited to 557 due to the fact that it just shreds Tyres in 3 seconds lol im not sure if it's road legal tho lol but yea vr6 is possible :p
