When driving to work yesterday morning when my glow plug light started flashing, so pulled over and had a look in the book, says its a fuel management warning light. Car seems to be running fine as far as i can tell. Anyone had this problem before?

Booked into a local VW specialist on monday for a diagnostic

btw its a Leon Cupra TDI-150

Thanks.

Hi
I have had a lot off problems with my Leon Fr TDI my engine manangerment light has come on loads off times every time i have took it in 2 seat it has showed up as Glow Plug faults first they replaced no3 plug then it went in again and again the next time the light came on they replaced plug no. 4 it was fine for about 4 days until light came on again this time Seat had it in and replaced all the plugs 2 days later light came on again and i took it in again and the diagnostic computer showed glow plugs again so the Seat Dealer rung up a field engineer and he told them that this would be a recurring problem unless the garage replace a wiring loom (i think) which is under the battery so if you have these problems contining then it could be the same problem i have had hope this helps

Even if brake lights are working there is another circuit through the brake light switch.

I've had this problem. Usually, this light would come on when trying to start the iginition, and ultimately, it wouldn't start. Sometimes it would take up to 8 attempts to get the thing to start. Not what you need with a new car!

Eventually, it seems to have been solved, they told me they'd upgraded the ECU, and fiddled around with something else, and hey presto, it hasn't done it since. TOUCH WOOD! :D

got it fixed on monday. it was the brake light switch as a few of you mentioned. so all good now :)
