Washer bottle emptying on driveway!

OK, I've searced these forums with no luck, so apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere!

My rear washer works fine. My front washers don't. I can hear the motor working, thus pushing the water out of the bottle, but it never reaches the windscreen jets...and I get a nice puddle on the driveway.

I can't see any obvious signs of leakage from the bottle so I guess the pipes to the jets are either leaking or have come off. How can I check for this without dismantling the whole area under the wipers?! Can I do it myself or would it be best going to a dealer? Is this a common problem? So many questions for my forst post! :)

I got exactly the same problem after my windscreen had been changed. I could not find a solution myself so I went to my dealers. Sorry but I don't know where to look for this leakage.

The pipe has probably come of under the scuttle panel. Large lump of black plastic that the washers protrude through that goes all along the back of the engine compartment. Dead easy to get off.

prolly tried to squirt when frozen. It's a lot easier to refit than when you do the back one. If you'r going to make a habit of it, try a cable clamp.

As Cupramax says, it's most likely the hose has popped off the jets. The plastic trim isn't too hard to remove and refit, had to do it on my Leon after the hose popped off. Just make sure you fit it properly onto the windscreen otherwise the washers fire at funny angles

I've got a similar problem with my rear washer (LCR), hear the Brrrrrrrrrr noise but no squirty :(. No puddle either, or wetness from boot lit. Is this likely to be a blockage in the jet or a disconnected hose from the missus slamming the boot too hard?

Had exactly the same problem with mine (back wipers fine.. fronts leaving lovely puddle on the driveway).. :(

Was fixed at minimal cost (FREE!) under warranty by dealer :) .
