water from door

Hi there,

can anyone help, I've just got a Ibiza 2011 chill, and when it rain heavy, which it does in scotland, and i open the passenger door water pour from a small hole in the botton sill.

when I called the dealer they said that's what the hole is for!!

it this normal for a Seat, any help would be gratefully recieved

yes seats do have holes at the bottom to let water OUT...mrk 1 leons have a problem with water running down the inside of the door cards...plenty about it on here...if the water is pooling INSIDE the car then get the door seals and door cards looked at, other than that the drain holes are there for a reason.

Yeah normal mate, as long as the water stays outside of the car.

that's for the help, never had this before in a car so take it that is not woth going back to the dealers then.

On a side note could any one help with were I can get the sat nav cradel. Like the idea of no cables as the car has a wee flip up port on the top of the dash

I had this on my Biza Cupra, the sat nav and cradle came as standard, the sat nav is made by Garmin, but not sure if they sell the cradle, or you order thru the dealer.

The cradle was a dealer only part mate and it was only available for certain versions of TomTom. They are quite expensive to if I remember correctly.

The one in my car was for a Garmin, as every month I had to go to the Navigon site to download my cam updates. But I agree it won't be cheap, thought the chill version came with the sat nav as standard anyway.
