I was literally just about to list a new post as my boot started leaking too! When I open it, water that has collected in the boot door rushes forwards and then starts pouring all over the parcel shelf. Not good. Getting diagnostic done next week, seems to be coming through the glass or the SEAT boot release.
Hope it doesnt cost too much. All the things seemed to be timed perfectly for when the warranty runs out!

tracking down the leak.
Hi,
Spent ages tonight pouring water over the boot door to try and source leak.
Ruled out via fuel area drain/seal
Took off inner rear cover breaking various catches as you do.
Took of rear RH light fitting and adjusted to be tighter.
Took of rear lock and checked seal and refitted.
Poured lots off water at each item checked
Still leaking but it looks like back window seal is letting in water.
It seems worse now, but will hopefully buy some seek and seal windscreen sealer, if it still exists.
took off cable grommets at top of rear door !!Mistake took for ever to get back on???
LED brake light ..... no idea how to get into it?
left inner cover off as it was getting dark

The garage initially reckoned (without doing the full test) that it was most likely my rear glass that is leaking too, so maybe theres a fault with them?
Was wondering if my insurance would "replace" the rear screen as it doesnt effect no claims and that way get new nicely sealed glass!

Hi Guys,
Apparently "Seak and Seal" winscreen sealer product does not exist anymore (ref halfords anyway!)
Resorted to filling the "groove" around rear wndow on outside with clear silcone sealant.
It certainly has cured the leak so happier.
Hint Use as small amount as just fills the groove as i had a nightmare clearing of the overfill smear of cured sealant from window/paintwork.
