Hello all.
There's a last issue that I'm unable to solve in my Leon SC.
After few rainy days, just noticed some water in the boot.
All started few months ago, when the problem was quite bad, but now seems to be much better, but still not perfect.
My first action was to remove the rear bumper, clean and seal around the vents. Somehow, it was part of the problem, as after that, there's just a little amount of water ingress.
I've tried to remove the rear seal, give it a good clean, and put back on, but I do believe that it's cracked somewhere.
The million dollars question is: does anyone else had such problems? Would replacing the seal be a good call or should I look for any other thing before?
Just as it may be relevant, I had my fuel flap replaced sometime before it happened, but not sure if there's any possibility of water ingress from that area?

I had a rear light full of condensation and then discovered over an inch of water in the spare wheel well. Dealer changed the light for free and this cured the problem for a while. However I noticed the other week that there is a water back in the wheel well, you can see its wet when you press on the liner. Guess its back to the dealers again

Thanks for the response.
Mine didn't have any problem with rear lights, or at least none since I've bought he car.
I was, in fact, surprised by the design of the rear lights, which allow water to run behind them. Never had any car with similar design.
The dealer quoted 43 quid for the seal, included VAT. Will try next week to see if the problem really is related to the seal before going for a replacement.

Hi I work for main dealer bodyshop and we've just had one in for similar, in the end we found small hole in the laser welded joint on the nearside (passenger) side at the back of the roof behind tailgate where the roof and quarter panels are joined.

Thanks. I was going through all the seal and no cracks or any other visible fault.
I believe that my issue may be the same as you've mentioned.

Did you get yours sorted mate? I’m having the same problem here and seem to have noticed a small split/crack in the weld that joins rear quarter and roof together on the drivers side. Have mentioned to the dealer and it is back in next week to see if they can sort it out. I’m unable to post a picture up of the split in weld.

Seems to be dripping in from high Above the arch area then once it's in its dripping down into different areas of the boot but it leaks badly when I've the hose over the hinge area but yet I can't see any thing to see where its getting in from. It's the drivers side boot leak. Can anyone help

yes, had the problem on a non SEAT car and it was a dodgy weld joint somewhere that took months of figuring out. Hasn't been wet since.

It's been 3 days of hosing it now The only thing I've found out is that when I hose closer to the hinge at the drivers side the leaks comes in worse so I'm thinking it must be around that area but with a leak no one nose

No sunroof No but ive blastard this sealant everywhere around the new rubber seal around the hinge so hope this stops the leak fingers crossed
