Water leaking from door

Hi there,
After rain Ive noticed by passenger side front door is leaking. Ive had a search but couldnt find much for the mk2. It looks to be leaking out the door trim and filling up the sill then dripping over into the car. Could this be the same as the old problem that the mk1 suffered from?
The door drain holes are clear and door rubbers in good condition. The doors do hold a bit of water until they are opened, is this normal?

Your not alone, my brand new mk3 Leon does exactly the same, although I never noticed it on my mk2

You would think Seat would have managed to fix it by the third attempt

But don't worry!

As Seat customer services have assured me, they they are now fully aware of the problem and it will be fully resolved on the new MK18 Seat Leon, which will be with us in 2089

Sorry to hear that & hope you get it fixed soon. Annoying on any car let alone a brand new one.
I'm going to have take all the plastic off the door to have a look I guess. Car is doing my head in at the moment, have the ESP light g201 fault to sort aswell.

Yes taking the door card off may help find where it's coming from, sure I read on here that sometimes the water can get in by water leaking in through a damaged door membrane or by the water cover they goes over the speaker where the back of it protrudes into the door
Think someone else fixed it with a new door seal
Can't find the relevant posts at the mo though

Anyway hope you get it sorted

Cheers will take a look. Saw a thread in the mk2 section for removing the door card and it doesn't come off how I was expecting it to. Looks a bit of a git to be honest.
