Weird alarm problem

I have a 54 2.0 TDI Altea which has recently developed a fault in the alarm. If I disable the interior sensors using the button on the B pillar as soon as I lock the car the alarm sounds but the indicators don't flash. If I use the double press of the lock button this also disables the interior sensors (tested and confirmed tonight) and the alarm doesn't sound.

However, if I sit in the car and lock it with a single press of the key, wait for the sensors to initialise and then wave my arms around the indicators start flashing but the alarm doesn't sound.

I have also noticed tonight that the red led on the passenger door stays on steady for about 10-15 seconds after I set the alarm then changes to flashing.

Anyone any ideas on this one?

Just thought I'd post an update on this in case anyone else gets a similar problem. I've had Diagnostics done on it and the only fault showing was on the Alarm Siren module. I'll be fitting a new one today or tomorrow so I'll add to the post when I've done it to let you know if it worked or not. It better had or I'll be

New alarm module was fitted yesterday. it now works perfectly normally.
