Weird Clutch Issue

Your clutch and brakes all use the same reservoir and same fluid. Check your brake fluid level and if thats ok, like mine was, I would not know what to suggest as I had the same issue.

I just got used to it as best i could lol

yeah, it gradually comes back during the drive. Last night I went out, and as its so low, it made me think it's a really could place for SQM times. Quick launch from it last night. lol... Just wondered if it would cause any damage

i had this with my cupra ended up having to change the clutch as the cover plate had gone
weak. new clutch in and itsall sorted now. hope this helps

brake fluid level seems fine

messing around yesterday, i put the handbrake on now and then, and the "stiffness" seemed to be coming back. Could be a mind thing, I don't know.....

given that you're handbrake isn't connected to the hydraulics, the chances are pretty slim!

I was same with mine when pedal welds snapped mate, i was convinced it wasnt working like it should. eventually you'll stop thinking about it

still getting strange issues.... stiffness comes back during a drive

However, this morning, I left it on tickover after a drive. The peddle went really hard/stiff.... no half inch play at the top like usual! Also only got 10psi! Same happened last night. Filled up wi petrol, peddle was rocked hard, would only get 10psi. Turned engine off and on, all was ok again

ok, so last night, pulled up to talk to my mate for no more than 5 minutes, and the clutch got stiffer and stiffer. After a drive, it loosened up.

I told my mate about the issues, and he said it could either be the master cylinder or possibly the servo. Or if I'm lucky, just a pipe from the servo.

Are these expensive jobs? He said the servo would be?

Any ideas how to check for any of these?

That sounds like the problem i had mate... & it turned out to be the metal bar that comes from the master cylinder & sit in the cut-out on the back of the clutch pedal. All i did was pressed the clutch down a little with my hand down behind the clutch pedal where i could feel a metal bar & i turned it until it felt secure as before i would press the clutch & not fell any stiffness until it was halfway pressed from all the way down. Its been about 6months since ive done this & it still ok now.

which direction do you turn?

I'm hoping it's something as simple as that! Maybe the mechanic knocked something when welding the peddle box up again after it snapped

Yeh this is on the inside of the car mate, & u will need to remove the plastic tray from underneath the steering wheel coloum to gain accsess to where im talking about. Once removed if u follow the clutch pedal to the top and then pop ur hand around the back you will feel the bar im talking about....
