Hey people......just in the process of fitting my Weitec coilovers, done the backs earlier and WOW, what a difference it has made.
When i first put them on I only had 3 threads left showing and its safe to say this was FAR too low.....so had to raise it up again, but its all trial and error really.

Was hoping to tackle the fronts tomrrow night after work, but just had a question first because im unsure of whether the front springs have to be compressed when taking the old shocks off???

Any help of info would be greatly appreciated

lol! i suppose the "proffesional way" is to use a compressor, but its not an option when armed only with a halfrauds tool kit!

Update.......Done the front's tonight and the car looks amazing!!
Was an absolute piece of piss to do and I didn't have to compress the springs at all, so i'm a very happu chappy rite now!!

Will get pics up as soon as I get a chance

What type weitec's are you fitting/fitted are they ones that are coilovers on the front and height adjustable by moving the spring seat up/down on the rear (HICON GTN) or are they coilovers all round (HICON GT/TX)?

The only reason i ask is because i thought about getting a set and wondered what they were like ride wise and from the sounds of things they are good?

They are the Hicon GT/TX mate, coilovers all round!!

Haven't had a chance to take em for a proper ride yet as im on a ban and don't come off till August 27th, but took em around for a lil spin round my area and they feel really nice!

Just uploading some pics to the comp so i'll post them up as soon as there finished!!

Looks good mate, IMO the front is possible abit to low but thats with just seeing a pic, so it could be alright.

Where did you get them from and how much if you dont mind me asking?

Cheerz mate....there is still abit of clearance on the front adn they don't rub on full lock or anythin, possibly mite under braking conditions though!! It's all trial and error though really, i'll see how it goes and if there are any problems i'll raise it up....don't exactly take long!

Got them from my mate for 400quid, who got them from JabbaSport....he's decided to sell his car so we can get a van and go self-employed (there was no way i was selling mine LOL)
Think he paid bout 500 for em tho but not entirely sure!
