@Hristiyan Dyankov Damn, that looks as new , good job 🤯

@grabania The exhaust tips make such a big difference, but you only know once they are fitted. Looking good 👍

@ArchNemeziz protip: replace (all) the rusty nuts which hold on the heatshielding. If you don't, they will destroy the heatshield under the nuts. Fyi: The prefacelift has this big straight through resonator directly after the downpipe, that might help you with placement for the Vibrant resonator

I thought of that initially as well, however it's got the sensors right there. Honestly not sure why the custom DP was made to hang so much lower than the body. Maybe it's a heat problem being too close to the chassis?

I need to talk to the shop guy doing exhaust system design but he's on vacation right now so I will have to wait until september at least.
Since I want to modify the exhaust tips also without swapping the full backbox part I need to wait for that guy anyway.

New sachs front shocks fitted as old ones failed the NCT test here in Ireland.

What a difference brand new ones vs leaking old ones. I drive this short stretch of road everyday that doesn’t have potholes but does have all these weird short dips and humps that was simply awful before…car would dive in to the dips and then hit the bump stops on the humps, very uncomfortable especially for passengers.

No longer, it’s actually nice to drive it as car is much flatter and doesn’t ‘wallow’. Haven’t tested doing hard turns yet, but overall so happy now, car is actually comfortable.

Note, I have 1.6 tdi lowered on eibach pro springs, needed 50mm sachs shocks part no. 560277. Car on 93000 km

I have swapped my Golf for Dad's 2018 Leon SE for a couple of days as it needs using.
Went to check on it last week but it wouldn't start due to a flat battery. Jump-started
it yesterday and drove it the 34 miles home, which seems to have revived it nicely.

Things about it that I think are better include the interior door handles, dials graphics
and the lighter, sweeter gearchange. Other than that, it drives quite nicely and like the
Spanish Golf it is, but is handicapped compared to my car in having 40% less power,
only basic suspension, less equipment and heavy wheels, so not really an equal contest.

Nice to have something slightly different for a change though and spotting the many
parts that are identical is mildly amusing.

Travelled to Cardiff today and have done around 180miles, ATE ceramics all round have worked very well in very bad start stop traffic on the m5.
The wheels are also nice and clean.
