There better quality than halfords wheels yes, but IMO they still look cheap and nastyish like most of them they have hangin in there stores.. each to there own tho.. it would be a boring world if everyone liked the same thing..

Fair play, what happened to your old wheels!?!? I lost track of ur RR and couldn't keep up!! ps. and the steering wheel!

Sold the old wheels mate.. wanted a different look this year.. and still deciding what steering wheel to get before i ditch the 225 one..

dont like the wheels on your original post! but if you like them thats all that matters

you cant go wrong with ch's on the leon, i have them aswell as many others.

at the same time though i think the best looking wheel on a leon is......standard r wheels!
if it came to it i think id deffo be tempted for a swap!

I defo agree CH's and standard R wheels are probably the 2 most suited wheels for a Leon, but I don't own a Cupra R and I'm not makin a replica (FR and proud!) so I don't think it would suit. I've been put off these wheels now with so many uses of "chav" and ......(shudder) Halfords, but I am going to look for something different none the less, hopefully with a bit more class, do these alloy wheels superstores let you see the wheel on your car before you buy?!!?

nice mate cheers, there are so many more wheels with the bolt pattern 5x112, do the later mark one cupra Rs have this pattern?!

No the Mk1 Leon all had a stud pattern of 5x100. The Mk2 Leon now has a stud patteren of 5x112 along with the Mk5 golf.
You can buy adaptors to change your pcd to 5x112 but just watch for the final offset being too low.

That's exactly what I'm worried about, from what I've seen most adaptors look fairly chunky, like at least 10mm?? So max offset would really b et35 on a 8.5j I'm guessing.

Also (another question) I'm presuming that standard 19" wheels take 19x235x35? and this equates roughly to 9.5j doesn't it?! So would the max offset here be higher or lower, not sure whether wheels grow inwards or outwards if that makes sense.

Not to my taste mate, but go with what you want and have your own look. Im going for 18" rota grids on my LC this year ;)

What width wheels can we get away with on the mk1 Leon? Without rubbing with fat birds in the back? ;)
I've got my eye on black Lenso samurai's they come in 7 and 8j wide I just don't want to replacing ruined tyres as in the past...

Mate that's eactly what I've been lookin at since my op!! This is why I ask about offsets as Rota do wheels at 8.5 or 9.5j. I want 9.5!!! but with incorrect bolt pattern I just dont think that'll be possible.

I was also lookin at the GTRs

Ps. Is it wrong to be lookin at the bronze ones!?!?!? :)

No adaptors needed they are all ready 5x100 , et23 fronts et38 rear the rears fit no spacers at all needed , fronts I have an 8mm spacer only to push it out my wider arch , but you would need at least a 5 mm spacer as the wheel hits the coilover adjuster , not sure if they would fit with out the arches could do a staggered set 8.5 on the front 9.5 rear , expensive wheel tho 957 no tyres spent about 1500 in all on them

I see, If normal wheels are ET35 but people normally put 10mm spacers in, the perfect ET would be 25. If to fit on the front you needed ET23 with a 5mm spacers then I'd be at ET18!! Looks great on your arches but I dont think that would fit my puny standard arches :( I've got my heart set on 9.5j now, want the extra grip of a 19" wheels with the ride of an 18".

On standard arches if you rears fit ET38 with no spacer then that would be where the front sit for me I think? But then I would be into the suspension by 20mm ish?!?

You won't gain any extra grip going up in size ie 19 " you want wider wheels , my tyres are on a stretch still got a 225 on a 9.5 j same as they are on standard Lcr 7.5 j wheels , et38 on the front hit the calipers your best going et23 fronts with a 5mm spacer and massive stretch on The tire I'm planning on 245 tyres next
