What engine code for a large port head..?

Hi all.

Which 1.8T head is 'large port'...?

My engine is obviously a BAM - Does the BAM engine have smaller ports than some of the others heads?

Will these heads go straight onto a BAM.?

Anything Bigger than a ko4 lol do yes the ko4 hybrids also work well , all 1.8t bottom ends are the same so yes if you get a new head it will bolt strait on

Some ADR's are also largeport and a stock inlet mani can be used if you get a transition gasket but obviously wont flow as well as fully largeport through out

Yes , just make sure the inlet mani is the right way round ie throttle body on the passenger side

Yer exhaust are the same

Just one thing I'm not sure about. The inlet manifold has the pipe coming from the intercooler on the opposite side compared to the BAM setup.?

As said above you need the right inlet manifold so it's on the corret side not sure what cars had them tho

A few of the 1.8t alhamba/sharans had largeport inlet mani's with RH throttle bodies but are super rare.
Other than that its aftermarket mani's
