HI, I have a seat leon 2.0 tdi sport in metallic black its done 48000 miles and 2005 (55) plate.
I am currently thinking of trading it in or selling it for a seat leon 2.0 fr t fsi with the btcc body kit on it.
Just would like peoples thought on what i should sell my car for and what price i would be looking at getting p/x and how much a seat leon 20 fr t fsi is. It doen't matter how old it is, but under 35k miles.
Thanks for any one that replys.

hello

i swapped my Black 56 plate Stylance 2.0 TDI with Sports pack and 16,000 miles on it for a 57 plate FR TFSI....

I don't suppose you ever really know if you got a good deal but I got £10.5k for mine and paid £12.5 for the FR - its in Zenith grey with 19" alloys and with 12k miles on the clock....

I had some silly offers from garages - the worst being £7.8k !!!!!! the best being £11k

As mine was newer and had done a lot less miles (also better specced ?) I think you would get a fair bit less for yours ?

oh btw I'm absolutely loving the petrol FR - so torquey for a petrol engine but flies when you rev it !!

Obviously MPG is not so good however ! averaging about 28-32 mpg

Unfortunately it's very much a buyer's market at the moment.. take a look on eBay (completed listings) and see how few are actually selling.

Taking Autotrader as a guage I would say pitch it at maybe 8-8.5k.. but be prepared to move on that if you really want to shift it..

Just to give you an example of whats available on second hand market.
My girlfreind just picked up a 07 plate FRTDI with 13k on clock for £9995 from sidlow seat at gatwick.

Taken from this thread

If FR 170's are going for that at a dealers then your car is gonna be worth.....!!! i dread to think!!!

I had mine 'valued' a few weeks ago at a Seat dealer. 06 Ref Sport TDi 60k miles. I'd get about £6k on a trade-in and it'd be on the forecourt for £7.5k.

i.e. I've lost about £320 / month in depreciation since I bought it 2 years ago !

unfortunately that level of depreciation is about normal on a car of that value.

Between years 2 and 3 though things often even out. The market isn't great though that doesn't help matters but on my 04 reg Celica I lost very little between years 2 and 3, the depreciation curve almost flattends out.

Back in August a dealer told me a Cupra loses around £500 a month, buts that's a petrol though where the demand has severley dropped.
