What is this and where does it go???

Hi, I have been having some issues a) With oil coming from somewhere, and b) seems to be running in limp mode. (Garage put machine on it and said misfire on 4). Anyway, was jump starting my Sons car and noticed something that didn't seem to be connected to anything! Anyone know what it is and where it goes?

Looking at photo 1 it appears that it has broken off at the union at the top, what car? What engine info might get someone out to check their engine?

Hi fix it soon it will start to smell petrol from the A/C if you dont. Just order 1.2 tsi pcv valve from autodoc it costs around 20€. Here is video on how to replace and you dont need to remove the big pipe you can insert it into the hole while the pipe is still there had same issue on two Seat ibizas. It breaks after 5000km or so cause the plastic melts

Some exhaust runs thru the valve into the intake again to be reused and gives the engine some extra power thats why u feel limp mode dont leave it to the garage they will plug it in (30 sec work) and charge u for entire days work
