A couple of times I've seen a symbol telling me to take my foot off the gas pedal, what's that about?

I think it was and I think there was a diagram that looked like a crossroads?

I must admit I didn’t give the lane assist a chance to annoy me , mostly used my car for commuting which is all B roads , I’m sure the Mrs doesn’t turn it off though and haven’t heard her complaining yet.

Now my lane assist is quiet unobtrusive. Its very gentle and i haven't yet needed to turn it off.
After reading some accounts that its almost dangerous I was dreading it but so far I find it a good feature.
Strange isn't it!
I hate it. Not only has it tried pulling me towards cyclists when moving around them, but it also seems far too sensitive in that it'll pick up false lines on the road! I.e. where there have been roadworks and they have sealed around the repair, if it's wet then the car sometimes thinks that is the white line and randomly drags you to one side!

I don't find it too bad tbh but I have noticed it trying to pull me to the left when overtaking parked cars or cyclists. I've noticed that if I flick the indicator before the manoeuvre it cancels the lane assist temporarily.

My lane assist is off all the time.
Twice it tried to put me back in to the middle of a narrow road with traffic coming the opposite way.

Totally agree, reading some comments on here I was quite fearful of "Lane Assist" I had visions of my car lurching all over the road or into the side of other vehicles such were some of the depictions, personally I find it quite unobtrusive, the one time I felt it with any "anger" it was no worse than the twitch you sometimes get on wet white lines😬

Yep, there's some sensitive souls here Doogle. I've had no issues at all. Twitch is the perfect word.

I think it might be that people who use indicators more do not get affected by it that much. I drive in the city and indicate all the time (no real cutting of lines done here) so I hit lane assist very rarely. But on rare occasions that I do (for example around roadworks), I think it's noticeable but not something that would make me crash the car.
