I've done a bit of reading and I'm still unsure what way to go. I've got an fr tdi and I will be getting a remap at some point, I've read that a few people have cut, gutted and re-welded their dpf's/cat and removed the back box and just welded the tail pipes on, that sounds the cheapest way, but is there any down sides to doing it that way? I assume that wont be too loud?
Can I remove the dpf, then take it to get a remap or will they have to do it due to the car not running right? How do the mappers get rid of the dpf?
I do eventually want to go down the btcc twin exit bumper so I suppose I could just weld 2 tailpipes with a splitter on to the pipe...

Thanks in advance

PD170 or CR170?

Mapping wise if it is a PD170 K-Tune are the only people to use, the guy that runs it only maps the PD170 he doesn't touch anything else.

CR170 REVO offer one of the best tunes for this engine.

Its a pd170. Where is k-Tune? Did a search but only USA company with UK distributors came up. Is amd no good then as there quite local to me? Cheers for the reply.

K-Tune are Yorkshire if you want a bespoke PD170 map that works and gets the best out of your car then speak to him
