just wondered whats the best size wheels for ibiza track toy?

I have 17's at mo but deffinatly looking at going smaller . . .

i think im going to go for 16's but seen a few rims i like in 15's . . . .

What are peoples experiences running 15's . . . too small? tyres much cheaper too which would be nice!

What width rims are people running too? less length, more girth? ;-)

Pics would be useful too!

cheers!

15's and 16's look and feel good, 17's are just too big IMO

15's tyres are cheap as chips (195/50/15's) can get toyos for like £25-30

16's tyres are bit more expensive (195/45/16), but then again the do look good too, and if you haven't got a silly drop (like us dub boys) then it fills the arch nicely too

Have a search of these 2 members for wheels "f2 stu" and "dinky dave" both have track slags and I think both running 16's and 15's respectively (but don't quote me on that)

on my mr2 track toy i used to run 16s. just seemed the best size, tyres are quite resonable as well as long as you run sensible sizes.

Cheers all! Its good to have peoples feedback from experience using certain sizes!

id rather have 16's to fill arches better but a few rims i like are only available in 15's. . . . hhhhmm

will have look on e38, cheers!

depends on your brakes really.... you will be limited to smaller discs with 15's and if you still going ahead with the charger and for track use I'm sure I don't need to tell you brembo's would be ideal!

16's have my vote as you can run bigger brakes!

Advantage I see using 15's tho is the choice of tyres with the likes of the R888's & A048's with 16's they silly sizes and have a big diameter (due to high profile) but with 15's you won't need to worry about that!

15" split rims

loads more claiper clearance compared to cast solid wheels :D

coming on well mate, just trying to get ready for paint....

trying to resist posting pics on the web as i want to save it till finished :)

I think it wont be finished this year now (well it wont be worth putting on road this year anyway).

Aiming for ultimate dubs show now to have finished by (just a date to aim for really and telford is only 25mins from me too :)

Then get out and enjoy driving a toy again, been way too long 3.5 years so far . . .

I keep following pics of your on here and FB, very impressive! Will have to join you on a track day next year when done!
