Model Year 20/21 What type of DSG I have?

DQ381 is used in conjunction with more powerful engines like 2.0s, as it is designed to cope with more torque. Lesser ones like 1.5 is combined with DQ200. I don't remember any exception to this but if you send your VIN to me via PM, then I'll get back to you with the definitive answer.

It seems that I was wrong assuming all 1.5 engines are combined with DQ200, like my Cupra Ateca 1.5.
Yours has a DQ381.
Assuming it’s the DQ381, service intervals are 80,000 miles. The attached states it’s DSG fluid only - no mention of the filter being changed.

Another Formentor owner here, looking to find out for sure which DQ transmission is in their car.
I have a 2022 1.5tsi V2 Formentor, I have the VIN number but when I do a VIN search the transmission type never comes up?
Can someone help or confirm to me I have the DQ381 or DQ200, as I would like to do a stage 1 ECU & DSG tune, but know I can’t if I have the DQ200 and not the DQ381, thanks

You need to be on the right website or be using a dedicated application to find parts information relevant to your VIN. That mostly involves a subscription to a service where the content is provided by their official partnership with the manufacturer, or a copy of the official parts catalog application of the manufacturer, like VAG's own app ETKA.
There are other ad-driven websites that offer parts information for free but they don't have search by VIN feature and their content is mostly not up-to-date.
Anyway, I have such a subscription and try to use that to help people around here when needed. If you send me your VIN via a private message, I can look it up for you too.

I have a Cupra Formentor 1.4 2021 Automatic Hybrid. I don't have my car right now so I can't check the VIN number but I've had a Mechatronic failure How do I know what version Gearbox is in this car? Will they replace with the same unit type so could fail again?
I got the car from Arnold Clark not even 1 year ago (Dec 2024) and we are under 20k miles so I pushed this back onto them and Cupra are offering a goodwill repair and AC are also contributing to the repair. I am having to pay also but it is a small contribution compared to what the full cost is.
Are there any questions I need to be asking about this repair and the breakdown? How often should this be serviced going forward?
I feel a bit lost as to what I should be asking if anyone can help please as to what they would ask.

The service intervals are chassis specific but I'd hazard a guess that yours should be serviced every 40k miles.
