Hi everyone,

I've just bought my first Seat Leon, a 2010 FR TSI in black and I'm very happy with it so far (it's only been a day though!).

I thought I gave the vehicle a good once over but I've just realised that I'm missing some of the vehicle tools in the polystyrene insert in the boot.

I can't post a picture yet so I'll list what I have:

- Hook for removing wheel covers
- Towing Eye
- Adapter for anti-theft wheel bolts
- Tyre repair kit inc pump

What I think I might be missing:

- Box spanner for wheel bolts
- Reversible screwdriver with handle

I've had a good search in the forum before making this thread and I can't find the answer so I would be really grateful for your comments/advice on what tools your Leon FR TSI came with before I contact the car dealer.

Thanks in advance!

You've got more than i have ! 2010 fr tdi. Got mine last week and I thought there was a few bits missing.
I have a

- jack
- double sided driver
- towing eye
- hook to remove nut covers
- box spanner
- lock nut adapter.

Theres a nylon strap for something. I fired a set of jump leads in the hole thats left (i assume) by the tyre repair kit you mention

Hi and welcome.
Both our current R and previous FR ( same as yours, a 2010 TSi ) came with a space saver spare, so the tool kit would be different, but certainly the current R does not have a screwdriver and I'm pretty sure the FR didn't either. ( both vehicles were new btw)
I don't recall there being an option when we bought the FR of spare or repair kit, so not sure how you ended up with one.

That nylon strap is what is meant to hold the insert in the space saver :)

Thanks for the replies, interesting comments!

I would assume it would come with the box spanner and reversible screwdriver otherwise I have no way to change the wheels myself?! Both of these tools are also referenced in the owners manual for changing wheels.

Kazand, did you have enough tools with your FR to change a wheel?

This is the fairly untouched looking stuff in mine...

Not sure what relevance a screwdriver has for tyre changing, but maybe there should be one there, but the allen key that is there seems to big for any of the other slots.

Why would you need a screwdriver to change a wheel? lol I wouldn't worry about it too much but you definitely need the nut removal wrench/spanner

I believe the screwdriver tool is used to remove the wheel nut caps. At the moment there's no way I would be able to remove them as there wasn't an allen key either. I will look on eBay and probably get what I need off there, I was just wondering if I'm missing anything so I can let the garage who sold it to me know.

Not for changing a wheel, but for other stuff (such as removing screws) maybe :p

its like a small wire thing to remove the wheel nut cover caps

If you have a tyre inflater kit, I'd assume they don;t give you a wheel nut wrench as you wouldn;t ever have the need (or the spare tyre required) to change a wheel at the roadside

Thanks for the replies, it seems that I'm not missing anything then as they don't supply all of the tools when you have the tyre repair kit. I was just wondering what you would do it you had a second set of wheels with winter tyres on that you wanted to change yourself or something like that. eBay it is then :)

Them little jacks are terrible anyway mate, you can get a decent trolley jack cheap on ebay and one of them telescopic braces I posted above :)
