So as you could probably have told.
We have a 2016 5dr 1.4tsi fr 150 in white with 74k ( for quotes) We are looking at getting a taller version, ie the 1.4 Ateca. Now what i have just realised is our car tax is £35 now. It was 30. All the cars after 2017 are now £190 like for like. Im not exactly happy about this but nothing we can do. Now the mot is due 30th July and I'm not selling this before then unless it's a trade in. I woukdnt buy a car with short mot so i wouldnt try and sell 1. Past mots are clear of avisories etc so not worried. This is the reason im asking. I know what we have been offered with out seeing the car ( really good condition) but its not really where i thought it was. I have looked around but really the 150 is very thin on the ground to get a true idea of what i should be looking at. Now there are a couple ive seen but look like they are asking alot.

are these cars desirable or is it not worth that much? Thank you.

@Vauxfan - you could try some of the car buying services such as Motorway and Carwow, but I’d avoid We Buy Any Car as they have a reputation for making lowball offers. I’ve not used one of these car buying services personally, but I’ve read of forum members on other forums who have and they’ve had a good result, achieving a higher sale price than they would have if they part exchanged. If you’re not happy with the price(s) offered, there’s no obligation to sell.

As with any of these car buying services, always be completely honest about the car’s condition so you’re not knocked down on its value when the car’s viewed if you do decide to sell your car this way.

I've used Motorway before and it pretty much worked as it should, although I found the picture taking process a bit hit and miss.
As SRGTD says, be forensically accurate with any faults or blemishes and you should be OK, although the dealer who bought my car still tried to knock me down when he came to pick it up. I very politely suggested that if he'd overbid for it and was trying to recoup some of his money, he'd also wasted his train fare coming to pick the car up.
