need some help guys
my cars had a remap (stg1)
and i want to spend some more money on it so whats next?
dunno between a filter, some sort of dump valve, anything else that'll help it
im new to VAG gear, on an old ford rs its chipped ecu, stainless pipe, grs cooler and a bleedvalve

in the future im after (pref to buy used)
i want a stainless exhaust
big cooler (ill make my own system/pipework)
silver genuine skirts (cupra R had em?)
nice boost hoses (prob from the US)

im having trouble finding some wheels too, rs4 reps seem to be everywhere and poorly made, found some 18" s4 reps but 400 miles away

get a T.I.P forge,THS , forge 007 dv and smooth the air box and add a green cotton filter that should get you on your way:D

TIP is the hose into the turbo isnt it?
the DV i beleve is a recirculating dumpvalve to replace the std item?

would a cone wit cold feed not be better than a airbox with an element?

cheers for info, told ya i was green to vags

Yeah TIP is turbo intake pipe.

DV is recirculating yes.

Cone filter with air feed makes more noise but I'm not sure its actually better.

nice 1 will start shopping cheers
is there anything i need to know reguarding these bits?

map was done before i got it, awaiting paperwork in the post

R tech mapped your car I think.

TIP is a bit of a pain to get on past the metal water pump but apart from that its all straight forward :)

Forge 007p valve is most common.

TIP is either for the AUQ engine but a few of the very early ones use a different one I think [golf one?]

depending on how much money you have

I would get:

Blueflame turbo back exhaust - £500 ish
Forge DV - £90 ish
Forge TIP - can pick up some for around £80-100 2nd hand
Ebay FMIC - complete setup for around £200
Air filter - £30 - 40

then you can take it to a stg2 remap :D

sorry for the hi-jack, but how much difference would a FMIC make, been looking at them but im unsure whether they are worth the money. Also would i need to modify my front bumper to suit one? cheers
