Whats the difference between the 140 and 170TDI engines?

I assume there are bigger injectors and bigger turbo, but I keep being told that the engine mapping is different.

Am I correct in saying that the 140bhp now come with a DPF as well?

I know remapping has been covered many times before. But my car is just about to turn 10,000miles, and you always want that bit more speed. My dealer has given the go ahead - he says Seat cant tell, and have never asked the dealer about remaps. Thus its not going to affect his warranty money for fixing any problems..

How is everyone getting on with their 170 remaps?

Main differences are Pizeieo (sp?) injectors. Turbo is the same, different map too.

140's don't have dpf

Of course the dealer doesn't care about you mapping it, its only when it breaks and seat wont honour the warranty will the dealer suddenly care about the remap and refuse to fix it!

Why else do you think that seat have seals that you have to break to get to the ecu, and a flash counter on the ecu - they don't do that for fun...
